Interestingly, they are requesting that current contracts be extended to allow for a full review to take place. I was of the opinion that the Unified Contract had already been extended to 13th October 2010 and cannot be extended beyond that. Discuss...

According to Doughty Street Chambers:
Nicholas Bowen QC and Ben Chataway of Doughty Street Chambers have been instructed by Derek Reynolds of Children & Families Law Firm, acting as representatives for a group of over 70 firms who have been refused a family law contract under the recent LSC bid round
The group has already obtained permission to intervene in urgent judicial review proceedings brought by the Law Society. The claim, which challenges the legality of the whole tendering process, is listed for a rolled-up hearing for permission and trial in the week beginning 20 September 2010
