Another family firm has got a JR hearing this week in the Manchester Administrative Court. Davies Gore Lomax from Leeds issued a JR when they got no reply to their appeal for failiing to get a family and social welfare contract.
Further details appear here in the Solicitor's Journal:

This claim was heard yesterday, It's scope was quite limited. It was a JR of the LSC's refusal to tell DGL when their appeal result would be decided (the LSC have been overwhelmed with over 900 appeals and are struggling to cope) They had ignored DGL's letter asking for a timescale.
In court yesterday and under pressure from the judge they agreed to decide DGL's appeal by next Friday. That settled this claim, but DGL remain one of the many firms intervening in the Law Soc JR which argues the wider points that the whole tender was unlawful.
Looks like they did submit a new JR on Tuesday (as listed on the admin court rota) - I think (as stated above) the first JR just concerned the outcome of their appeal:
"Law firm Davies Gore Lomax, which gives housing advice in Leeds, on Tuesday lodged a judicial review against the LSC’s decision not to award it a social welfare contract. The firm also applied for an injunction to stop the LSC awarding a contract to another firm to run the ‘Housing Possession Court Duty’ scheme in Leeds, which Davies Gore Lomax set up."
I understand they were granted permission in respect of SWL with hearing to be listed for a day. Upper tribunal criterion and approved intermediary (insufficient time between publication of criteria and tender deadline to recruit one) I think, but will stand corrected if anyone has better information than I do.
If I have understood the chain above correctly DGL's JR on the SWL criteria was heard today in the Manchester Admin High Court.
Although the LSC and the Law Society have to date maintained that the Law Soc JR last week relates solely to family law contracts, clearly the JR on SWL (being the subject of this discussion thread) could change everything for SWL.
Does anyone know if DGL's SWL JR was heard today and if so is any outcome known?
