I've thought of a better way to organise and index all the responses. Will do it tomorrow - on a train at the mo. It should make them easier to browse and considerably reduce any duplicate response posting

I'm working on this (consultation response) section so things might be a little hairy for the next hour or so. I'm migrating all the responses into the alphabetical sub-boards. If you want to post a new response, best to do it in the new sub-board corresponding to the first initial of the respondents name

That's down to the posters in the first instance. I edit them when I have time (particularly if I have no clue what the abbreviations mean myself). Although, some won't 'fit' into the limited space allowed for a title for any particular post anyway
It might be easier if we had some convention as to how to log them as well-if Colin wants full names that's fine by me. I think we are getting near saturation point with those that are on-line. We seem to have most here that are available through searching on-line. To get more may be a question of chasing organisations individually.
The other thing that may be useful is to find out from Justice for All whether all the groups who are responding to the consultation are members of J4All. There are a lot of good groups out there who it would be worthwhile getting on board eg disability groups, community organisations etc. More ideas and more momentum.
We also need to start analysing the responses to bring out and condense the different key arguments in the responses. There are so many brilliant points in there, but not all are getting across. NACAB did seem to suggest they were undertaking an analysis-does anyone else know whether anyone else is doing this and how many responses NACAB are considering?
It's not really clear to a lot of people what the next step in terms of strategy is. People must be discussing this (?). It seems that the issue of vulnerability is starting to get across to some MP's, whether they understand the complexity argument is less clear. It's crucial to get them to understand that the voluntary sector is not doing some lower level vague general advice but that this is complex case law. Many MP's still don't seem to understand this and they won't unless we keep explaining this and providing case studies not only on vulnerability but also on legal complexity.
Great job Patrick-presume you will also break up the barristers and judiciary sections into alphabetical categories at some point-appreciate it's an enormous task. I have now edited some of the links I posted to include the full names, as requested by Colin. Have also broken out some of the responses I posted under Advice Uk and its members, so individual responses can be read in their alphabetical section.

Agree with all you say jman and however vital, it's clearly a huge task to collate all the best points.
Pendatry again, but not all the responses are safe on our servers. The web links will break eventually and I am vain enough to believe it's important for posterity. Patrick I will happliy upload files for those I spot but there's a 1mb limit and I'm not sure that actually gets it onto our server in the way you do it. Any tips?

Thanks for doing that jman, saves me a job. Upload any you can onto ilegal as you've been doing (rather than hotlinking) and report any that you do so I see it when I log in. I'll then pull it and put it on the ilegal server rather than the proboards. If they're too big for proboards then just email them direct to me
What we need is someone to go through ALL the responses we have so far here that we are linking to on some other site, and download every one and email them to me for uploading onto the ilegal servers instead. As Colin says, the originator site will probably take them down at some point so we'll lose them otherwise
Don't fancy doing all of them/plus wouldn't have the time for that, but we could split them 3 or more ways with various people taking a different chunk of the alphabet each?
