How Clarke can pump out this nonsense with a straight face passes understanding. Does the guy not have a conscience or any sense of his obligations as a lawyer and Lord Chancellor-the man is a disgrace.

However, concessions have finally been given by Clarke on the definition of domestic violence (finally accepts ACPO definition) and the DV evidential gateway, eg; court undertakings, police cautions, GP evidence, etc. full details to be in regulations.

Another fudged concession from Clarke to try and undermine the Lib/Lab amendment - they will work on some sort of exceptional funding if a point of law is present at Lower Tribunal level in benefits cases. We shall see...
