Djanogly responds to a Parliamentary Question about Clarke's comment that legal aid could be made available in welfare benefits cases if a point of law is certified. From They Work for You
I'm building a couple of posts on Mylegal on this very issue and as soon as they are up and running I'll put the links back on ilegal either in this thread or the one to which I've provided the link. We should do all we can to try and push Clarke & Djanogly on this one, I'm in dialogue with my own MP. It would be good to collate some information/ideas with a view to making appropriate suggestions to the powers that be.
Have copied it to that thread now Nick. Strongly suspect it will be pushed onto the back back burner and they will still be "thinking about it" come the next election, but you never know.

We'll just have to keep on and on reminding them then Jman. There's something we can and must use to advantage here. It's a question of telling them to put their money where their mouth is. More to come on this and thanks for copying it to the other Thread :-)
Djanogly asked again in Parliament what is happening re legal aid for first tier tribunals; again no timetable set out-link to question and answer below
